In November 1999,

layers set up its North America operation in Irvine, California (USA),
right in the heart of the wireless world, and within easy reach from
Los Angeles and San Diego. Since the beginning we continuously expanded
test capabilities and services offered.
In November 2006 we expanded our operations again by moving into a new 20,400 sq feet (1900
sq meter) facility to enable convenient, private work environments for
our visiting customers and offer a broader level of services.
7 layers USA offers complete services for wireless communications
devices including validation, product development, interoperability and
conformance testing as well as certification and qualification.

As part of the 7 layers
group we are involved in third generation technology development like
EDGE and WCDMA (UMTS). We are the only lab located in the U.S. offering
full coverage for GSM, GPRS, EDGE,
HSPA+, LTE,Bluetooth
and W-CDMA under a single
roof.
Test services and Market Access Services of 7
layers USA
Our laboratories in
Irvine offer RF and Protocol tests for GSM 850, 900, 1800 and 1900
including GPRS and EDGE. The laboratory maintains two independent RF
test systems for 2G / 2.5G plus several different protocol test systems
which can be combined for multi-box configuration testing. In addition,
this facility supports the latest GSM features to include Multimedia
Messaging Service (MMS) and Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR).
7 layers USA is the
leading test facility in North America offering WCDMA testing for the
latest generation of mobile terminals for both RF and protocol testing.
Our current WCDMA test systems include three (3) independent systems
covering RF, Protocol and RRM testing. Protocol multi-box configurations
are also available.
Our accredited new EMC
chamber is capable of performing RF Performance / OTA (Over The Air)
testing for GSM 850, 900, 1800, 1900, WCDMA FDD1 to FDD6 and CDMA. AMPS
and TDMA technology testing is also available. Our control and testing
software is designed with automation in mind to minimize test time,
provide customers with results faster and minimize customer costs. Note:
RF Performance testing is technically required only for North American
bands. However, customers are responding to industry trends and
performing tests in more / all bands the device supports. Consult with
your end customer.

Bluetooth
Qualification Test Facility (BQTF) status, thus being formally
recognized as competent to perform "Category A" Bluetooth
qualification
conformance tests. Our Irvine team carries out all required Bluetooth
development and qualification testing (RF and protocol) required and we
have our own Bluetooth
Qualification Body (BQB). We are a leading
Bluetooth
test facility offering Bluetooth
1.1, 1.2 and 2.0 plus EDR
testing capabilities.
Accreditations of 7 layers USA
The laboratories of 7
layers USA are PCS Type Certification Review Board (PTCRB) accredited and
ready to support you in obtaining market access in the USA.
Since November 2001
CTIA has granted 7 layers USA the status of CTIA Authorized Testing
Laboratory (CATL). With this status, 7 layers can offer the CTIA
certification to terminal manufacturers who are interested in doing
business in the North American market.
